If an unforeseen problem arises on the project, try to find solutions before going to the customer. In any case, you need to talk about issues openly, not hide them. Your proactivity in terms of problem-solving will show engagement.

On long projects, the relationship with the client can slip into a square of high trust and low transparency. The client may start to distance themselves from the project work due to trust at some point. The main danger here is that if we somehow let the client down, we can fall back to the very beginning (square A), losing everything we've built with such effort. This will affect not only your relationship with the customer but also your team's motivation.

- Draw a 2-by-2 matrix on a piece of paper with the axes of Trust and Transparency.
- Put a dot in the square where you think the relationship with the customer of your work is. It could be an external customer, an internal customer, a neighboring department, or your boss.
- Ask yourself the question: "Why do you think so?", "Why do you think your relationship is there?", "Do you think there is enough transparency and no trust?", "Then why is there no trust?", "By what signs do you understand that the customer is sufficiently aware of your work?"
